Wed 20th Jul If you haven't been exposed to Dana much, you definitely haven't got to the story part that's good.Part of me was almost hyped about a new version of 8, but.nope, still looks like like an enhanced Vita game. It's a good game, not as good as 8 but good, but it's like they forgot it existed as soon as they released it. I'd rather they put the time and resources into Ys9 that I still haven't played despite buying both on Switch and PS, because the Switch port is so gawd-awful, a blurry mess that runs at 20fps at the best of times, 15 in the city if you're lucky, while the PS version runs smooth, but doesn't actually look much better than the Switch version other than being less blurry and still stutters in the city and gives up handheld play. I'm glad the game is living on and thriving, it deserves it more than many others but a "PS5 version" like this seems pretty lame. The models look touched up, the animation looks smoother, but overall it still looks like the old game with a modest makeover. A true improvement wouldn't be a bad thing, but this is pretty weak. I love the game, and it's definitely the strongest story of the Ys series.
